Dewey the pug

My tan pug, Dewey is having some issues. It would seem that his stomach is totally bloated. These boys are my life. They have managed to get me through some rough times - just by their wiggly tails and smiling faces (only a mother could love! LOL!)

I spoke with the vet and we are taking it day by day. So if you are out there in the internet land and have a spare moment or two - may you please pray for Dewey to get better soon. I cannot afford the vet fees.

Follow instructions!

I find that people don't listen to or read instructions. If people would read the instructions for a test or an assignment perhaps they would have less questions about it and do well.
If people would listen to instructions perhaps they would preform better.

There are reasons as to why instructions are given, usually because someone has more experience than you and there is a method to their madness. But people are usually too busy thinking of something else and lack the focus required to read or to listen to instructions given.

Be in the moment and you will find you will preform better!

Exercise!!!!

We live in a world where sitting seems to be the norm. Sitting at the computer all day, sitting behind the wheel of a car, sitting to do homework or study, sitting to play video games, sitting, sitting and more sitting.

Well people if we don't get our asses off of our chairs, rockers, or leather sofas, our muscles are going to go to waste. So when we go for a walk, we are so sore afterwards that we won't be doing that again all so quickly. Well too bad - exercise is a necessary evil. I hate exercising but I know in order to live a healthy life I have to exercise in some fashion.

If we don't exercise, we loose our muscles capability, which then leads to a greater impact on the body beyond our comprehension.

Whatever it is that gets you up out of your seat - do it, and do it more!

Dreams do come true...

There was a time in my life where I decided that was not possible - that dreams did not come true so I did not bother to dream. That was until I woke up.

I have had a goal for a long time now - about 18 years and I finally completed it. I have dreamed about that day for along time now and what a sense of completion, success, and peacefulness inside.

So yes dreams do come true believe it - more importantly believe in yourself!

Generous Giver and Excellent Receiver

This evening my lovely g/f gave me a gift, but I do have to pay her back. She signed me up for baseball and paid my registration fees. My finances at this point in my life could be a ton better. I won't have the fees for baseball until April but she loaned me the money which allowed me to sign up.

It is hard for me to take money or gifts from folks but T. Harv Ecker has a phrase: "I am a generous giver and an excellent receiver." So I am trying to be an excellent receiver but heck it is not easy. I suppose when I have my turn at being a generous giver, I will be ever grateful to give generously. Talk about learning both sides of the coin.

Sometimes I feel bad that Dewey cannot see. He has been this way 2.5 years now. If I could only wave that magic wand ...

I just know that Draco does help him a bit by 'herding' him when we go out for a walk. And give Dewey an old sock or a bone to chew, his personality comes right out. He also likes to play with my parents' German Shepherd in their backyard. It is really quite something to see, he chases her at full tilt and if he comes near an object he could smash into, you yell "tree" and he goes in another direction.

Corporations - The Ultimate Pyramid Scheme

"Ohh... you're involved with a network marketing company? Isn't that a pyramid scheme?" This is sometimes a response when I tell people that I am involved with a multi-level marketing company called Univera.

I will tell you what the best pyramid scheme is - one of the corporation. Just look at the organization chart:

Now doesn't that look like a pyramid to you? It certainly does to me.

There is the worker, with very little chance of advancement in the organization and their wages only go so high and if they are lucky, their wages will be indexed along with inflation. If they are lucky. How many people do you know that got rich from working at a JOB (Just Over Broke)?

Here are all of these people working for someone else to get rich. Oh yeah - you have security I suppose.... Highly overrated.

Manners

Manners - I find that people just don't use them any more. What is up with that?

Basic words like please, thank you and excuse me have left the English vocabulary.

Example 1: I hold the door for the person behind me to catch the door with their hand, no thank you, no acknowledgement at all. I usually say you're welcome anyways but would rather I did not hold the door and let is slam shut in your face?!?!?

Example 2: I am at the grocery store looking at what cookies to buy and someone cuts in between the cookies and me (the nerve getting in between my cookies and I), they don't say excuse me or nothing. They walk through like they are not even there - wtf? LOLOL!

Such small words can go along way but are we really becoming that insensitive or self-centred?
